Wide, thick, and with a great shelf for the thumb, the standard wood grips look good and provide excellent control of the gun. Even with a six-inch barrel, the gun draws well and points even better. If there was ever a perfect revolver it was the S&W model 19. A revolver in medium weight that has excellent handling, fires a powerful cartridge with wonderful accuracy.
